Allison Pregler Bio
Allison Pregler is an avid film critic who reviews Z-graded films typically in the horror and martial arts genres. Her style and approach is similar to The Cinema Snob. However she is more inclined to watch silly action films with a morbid fascination. The reviewer began her journey in late 2009 after becoming well-known in their forum. (Under the name of her previous handle Obscurus Lupa) She was then invited to be a part of Channel Awesome. Channel Awesome team. At the beginning of 2015, she stayed on the website while Obscurus Lupa Presents transformed into Movie Nights. She has two podcasts co-hosted and also covers Charmed. After a controversial departure from Channel Awesome Allison officially announced on January 20th 2015 that she'd be revamping OLP into an impromptu review show called Movie Nights with an appropriately-shlocky elevator jazz theme. The role of a guest in Midnight Screenings is a regular event. The show reviews horrible movies geared towards children, RiffTrax and live shows. The show also has a few times adult comedy. Her first review was in late 2009. She earned a great deal in popularity thanks to the Channel Awesome forum before becoming part of their family. She has appeared in countless Channel Awesome series, from Atop the Fourth Wall through Phelous & the Movies. She was a former member of the Channel Awesome family alongside Doug Walker and would often appear in episodes of the Nostalgia Critic.
